英語部　生徒が主役！スピーチ＆英語クイズ

9月18日（金）の英語部では、生徒によるスピーチと英語クイズを中心に活動しました。

前半は、「競走馬の引退後の生活をより充実させるには？」というテーマでスピーチが行われました。日本語と英語を交えながら、競走馬の引退後の現状や課題について紹介し、その後、グループに分かれて意見交換を行いました。身近に接する機会の少ないテーマでしたが、生徒たちは興味深く耳を傾け、それぞれの考えを伝え合っていました。

後半は、生徒が準備した英語クイズに挑戦しました。司会進行も生徒が担当し、参加者同士で相談したり、答えを考えたりしながら、和やかな雰囲気の中で英語を楽しみました。

今回も、企画・発表・司会などさまざまな役割を生徒自身が担い、協力して活動を進めることができました。これからも、英語を「学ぶ」だけでなく、実際に使いながら、自分の考えを伝えたり仲間と交流したりする機会を大切にしていきます。（石川）

English Version

On Friday, September 18, the English Club enjoyed a student-led session featuring a speech, group discussion, and an English quiz.

In the first half, one of our students gave a presentation on the theme, “How Can We Improve the Lives of Racehorses After Retirement?” Using both English and Japanese, the student introduced some of the issues surrounding the lives of retired racehorses. Club members then divided into groups to exchange ideas and share their opinions.

In the second half, the students enjoyed an English quiz prepared and led by a club member. Other students also took responsibility for hosting the session, creating a friendly and lively atmosphere in which everyone could participate.

It was wonderful to see our students taking active roles in planning, presenting, and managing the activities. Through experiences like these, we hope our members will continue to enjoy not only learning English, but also using it to express their ideas and communicate with others.
